What makes some posters more effective than others? These tools are a great way to get a customer’s attention when executed correctly. There are several key items that need to be included on each poster to ensure that they fit into a marketing plan for any company. Without these vital pieces, they could end up being a waste of money.

What is the point of the posters? Is a sale being advertised? Is there a special event that is being held for people in the area? This message needs to be front and center of any advertisement. People need to know why they should stop by a company’s office or make a purchase. For example, if a special sale is being set up, customers need to know the details.

This message should not be overwhelmed with the fonts, pictures, and colors. It is not enough to get someone’s attention. It should not be just a passing glance. The necessary information includes the contact information for the business that is advertising. It is not good to have a huge sale and not let people know where they can go to shop. Appropriate Size:
Posters come in a variety of shapes and sizes. It is important to choose the right size for the task. For example, if a poster is to be set up at the front of a building to advertise a sale, it should be large enough to be seen by people walking or driving by. On the other hand, if several signs are going to be displayed throughout a store, they need to be sized to fit the space. It is not unusual to see the same poster is several different sizes; each one is being used for a different purpose.

Last, but not least, posters need to grab a person’s attention and that is often done with colors, pictures and graphics. It is important that these each one is eye catching while still including a message and some contact information. Most of the time the pictures that are included have something to do with the business doing the advertising. For example, a shoe store may want to include a picture of the latest style or brand of shoes along with the new sales price.
