Marketing to brides is an essential element any business in the wedding industry must master in order to survive. But what is the best and most cost efficient method of bridal marketing for the small wedding business owner?

What is Article Marketing?

Article marketing is writing short, keyword rich articles designed to educate and information your audience. Articles usually range from 400 – 500 words in length and are conversational in tone.

What Do You Mean by “Keyword Rich”?

Keywords are the words or phrases a person would type into a search engine, such as Google, when trying to find information on the web. For example, someone might enter “wedding caterers in Orlando” or “wedding catering in Orlando” if they were trying to find a caterer for their wedding reception in Orlando.

Where Can I Find Keywords?

There are several keyword tools on the market, but Google has a simple to use and free option that is get for getting keyword ideas. In your favorite search engine, type in “Google keyword tool” without the quotes and the first listing should be the Google AdWords keyword tool.

Next, in the left hand column under “match type,” select “phrase.” Type in the word or phrase that describes your business, such as “Orlando catering” and hit enter. Google will produce a list of words people are using when trying to find a caterer in the Orlando area.

Review the list and select few keywords. Keep in mind you are marketing to brides, your goal is to choose keywords that are logical for a bride to use when searching for your business. For example, “best wedding caterer in Orlando” is a good choice, whereas “how to start a catering company in Orlando” is someone looking to start a business, not buy your services.

Now that you have an idea what keywords potential customers use to find your type of business, the next step is to write a short article using one of the keywords.

Keeping with our example of wedding catering in Orlando, keywords could include “wedding reception catering,” “wedding catering services” or “Orlando wedding caterers.”
