Marketing Tips on How to Re-Engage Your Customers With An E Card

August 25, 2011 by  Filed under: Marketing

Sending an e card to customers should be part of every companies marketing strategy. They are proven method to be a cheap and successful way to re-engage with your audience, but before you go and get started with your company e card, read these tips!

  1. Think through your message! – You want to make sure the content of your e card comes across as professional and caring but think through what message you want to give your customers before you send it!
  2. Make sure that the card is high quality – this e card will be representing your brand so make sure that it doesn’t look tacky or offensive as people will associate that with your brand
  3. Address your customers in a consistent manner – its all very well adding a note of professionality by adding Mr or Mrs to address your customers but if your company is relaxed and friendly and you don’t do this normally, then I strongly suggest that you don’t start now. Think carefully about your companies style, products, and brand identity and try to mirror that in your corporate e card
  4. make sure the e card is not too religious or does not contain too strong an image of Christmas or any other religious holiday – be Christmasy but be aware that not all of your customers will be celebrating the holiday and you don’t want anyone to feel alienated by what you are sending them. At the end of the day this is a marketing tool so it will not work if you exclude half your customer base.
  5. Remind yourself who your target audience is – just to double check you are getting the tone and message correct.
  6. Make sure you check your customer data – so you have firmly in your mind who you are actually sending this to.

Once you have done all of this you are ready to get going.

Depending on your budget, there are a lot of different options you can take when selecting a corporate e card. If your budget is small then you can go for something cheap (but remember that you need it to be high quality!) like a static business e card which you can upload a logo, add a message and a weblink. These usually range from £90 and up. There are a range of animated corporate e cards on the market too. Again, you can add a logo, message and weblink to these and they usually cost approximately £190 and up. For those of you who have a large budget, you can find a wide variety of options from a fully bespoke design to your own specifications and this can also include a corporate e card game!
