Many people struggle in keeping their websites up to date and fresh for people. They don’t realize that they are hurting their company’s profile by not giving the public a regular update. Many companies don’t even have a website. Many don’t even know that they are missing out on millions of possible new clients or customers. I would like to give you a few tips on how to make sure you are being noticed online!

• Update your website at least once a week.

• Keep up on your contact forms and make sure to have a quick response time to inquiries.

• Keep your social news updated

• Post company news on your social media sites

• Create a blog and inform people about the products or services you provide (let them know why they should consider you)

A lot of companies out there miss out on a lot of potential customers because they have no idea how to market themselves online. It is critical to have a network online to help keep your company’s image ‘on the front page’. There are lots of tips and tricks out there to get and keep your companies face on the forefront of the internet. If you use a search engine and your website isn’t on the first page statically you will not generate high volumes of traffic.

Here is a funny quote for you if you come in second:

“Congratulations…you almost won.”

“Of all the losers you came in first… of that group.”

“You’re the #1…loser.”

“No one lost…ahead of you.”

-Jerry Seinfeld

Do you use a search engine? Did you know a in a test of over 8 million clicks shows that over 94% of users clicked on a first page result and less than 6% actually clicking to the second page and selecting a result displayed there?

The point? You have to be able to be on the first page of the search engine! Keep your site updated! Blog! Use social media! Get your name out there! Get your company out there! Use sites that are informative and forum based to help people answer questions they might have and then you can point them to your website for further help or products to assist them. You have to be active in ‘driving’ traffic to your site. Hire your teenager, your sister, your unemployed brother-in-law to be an active part of your web activity!

I hope in reading this you are more informed and ready to start building your web-based future and get the results you desire from your work efforts!
