Check Out the Amazing New Facebook Changes, This Is What You Have Been Waiting for!

Facebook keeps improving it’s business pages.

It hasn’t been that long since the introduction of the Timeline. Not everybody is happy with timeline. But I am sure that most small business owners will be happy with the changes Facebook rolled out last week.

Different roles for admins.

You know that feeling that you don’t want to manage your page completely on your own, but since you run your business alone you don’t want to give somebody who helps out with certain things full admin right on your page. Facebook has finally fixed this. Now you can add another person as an admin but only give them certain rights:

For example content creator or moderator. And per role you can decide to how much functions they get access.

schedule posts

Another major improvement is that you can now schedule your posts up to 6 months in advance! Now longer do you have to do this through outside applications like Hootsuite. You can schedule posts with 15 minutes intervals right on your own business page. This is a huge improvement. Posts directly from Facebook carry more importance than those submitted through an outside source.

If you know you will be away for a day or a week you can now schedule your posts in advance. and have them go out during the times that you know your posts do well.

How does it work?

Go to your page’s sharing tool. Click the kind of message you want to create. Then click the little clock icon in the bottom left hand corner. Fill in the year, month, day and hour and click schedule after you have written your message. It will appear at the time you have selected.

Promote your posts

The one drawback for small businesses is that you need a lot of likes before this feature will show up, 400 likes. Once you get to 400 likes, the promote button should appear at the bottom of your sharing tool. After you have written you message you click this promote button. A drop down menu appears and you can select the amount of money you want to spend to promote this message.this is not a daily budget but a lifetime budget.

You can promote posts up to 3 days old. So you don’t have to do it right away. When you promote your page it will draw more attention to it. You can use it to gain more followers or to promote special events
