And Why Should I Buy From You?

In case you haven’t noticed lately, the world of business has shifted from businesses being in control to consumers having all the control. It’s not a matter of finding someone that needs your products or services and them just buying it. People are a lot more cautious of how they spend their money these days.

And, it’s not all about price either. Competition is becoming more and more fierce with more businesses popping up each and every day. But, price is actually not the main thing consumers are looking for.

As a business owner, you need to stand out from the crowd. You have to remind your customers and educate your prospects as to why you are the best choice for them.

So how do you do this?

Start off by educating them.
Give them a ton of help. Make them feel at ease. Make sure that there is no doubt in their minds that you know what you are doing and are the most knowledgeable.

I’m not talking about bragging about your certifications or degrees. I’m talking about sharing your knowledge with them. Give them suggestions. Help them out.

This not only lets them know that you are the real thing and know your stuff, but also makes them feel more comfortable with you because you are willing to share and help them.

Even if they don’t get all of it or remember most of it, they will remember that you tried to educate them and make them feel at ease in their decision to use you as their provider.

By providing a free report, informational blog posts, video training, etc, you will stand out from most of the competition.

Funny thing… Most businesses are afraid to give too much away because they think that their prospects won’t buy if they do. Well, I’m here to tell you that is a very negative way to look at things.

Good prospects will see the value in the stuff you share with them and it will establish you as the expert. You become an authority in the industry just by sharing out more than everyone else.

Besides, if you are giving great stuff away, people are more likely to curious about what your paid stuff will be like. Amaze them with what you share with them and they will be hot to buy what you didn’t share.

Next, keep it coming!
People want a conversation. They want to know that you are still there after they gave you their hard earned cash.

Keep sharing with them. Tell them how they can use your product more effectively. How they can take care of it so it will last longer? Just keep in touch with them. Let them know you are still there after the sale. Just that one alone will not only give them more comfort in the fact that you are still there for them but also keeps your name in front of them in case they need more products from you in the future.

Simple email newsletters, blog updates, Facebook posts and even the old fashion printed newsletter will go a long way to keeping them involved with you and your company. Just because you keep in touch with them you will stand out from the competition because most of the others won’t even bother with that one step.

Most companies miss the boat on this one just because they are too lazy to follow up and look at a customer as a one time sale, not a lifetime partner.

By following these simple steps, you will establish yourself as the expert and build relationships for years to come with your prospects and customers.

You have to stand out from the crowd and let people know exactly why they should buy from you instead of the “other guy”.
