4 Simple Questions That Will Build A Relationship With Your Costumers

Understanding your costumers problems and thinking like them is a very valuable skill. If you learned this skill, you would know exactly where to find potential costumers and how to convert them into buyers. Like I said, this is a skill. It’s not something you are born with. All great marketers learned this. Sure creativity helps, but good marketers learned what works and how to apply it.

If you look at yourself, you are in the buying mode when you really want something. Or, when you want to fix a problem and make your life easier or better. Do you like advertising? The answer is obvious. No! Everywhere you go you see ads. People are sick of it. People don’t want to be sold to. So what should you do.

You should present your products, or if you are an affiliate marketer, somebody else’s products as information. Give them some valuable free information, before you pitch them a product. Then show them how your product can make their lives better. How your product can improve their experience. Before you start selling, here are 4 questions that will build a relationship with your costumers:

  1. What frustrates you the most about your business (or life)?
  2. What are you trying to accomplish this year?
  3. What do you think you would need to double your business (or happiness) this year?
  4. What strategies have you already tried to improve your business (or life), that worked and did not work?

This type of communication works great if you have an email list. Great thing you can do is to send your list a survey with these questions. I see big marketers do that all the time. Every time they are about to launch a product, they send a survey so they know what their list wants. That is how they get the hard data. In the end all big launches are successful.

This strategy is great because you can sell to your list time and time again. If you don’t have a list, now is the time to build one. Every smart marketer has an email list. This is an asset. There is no better way to connect with your costumers and build a relationship with them. Forget about social media. The money is in the list.

These questions will also give you certain authority and credibility. You want to sound like a real person who understands them and can really help them. With these questions you can create what your costumers want. You will get a better understanding why they want it.

If you don’t have your own product, you can always find good products from other people as an affiliate. The key thing is to know what the people want in your market and you are the one who can show them how to get it.
